Hi there, Sorry about the lack of a fancy NFO, simple instructions only. Load the main application, register with any four-digit number. Load the update. You will now need a data cable. To make the serial port to engine data cable, you need to buy the Bombardier three pin plug (it comes in components and the correct crimping pliers are very useful) and some shielded three (or more) core cable, computer network cable works fine. Don't make it too short, remember that some days you will need to get you and the computer in the cabin, out of the weather and spray. You will also need to purchase (beg, borrow or steal) a serial port plug, the female one that plugs into the PC. Connect it as follows: The serial port connector below is as you would view it looking from the front, so that the cable enters from the rear. _______________ \ 1 0 2 3 0 / \ 0 0 0 0 / \_________/ The one below is the engine connector, looking into the connector at the pins so that the wires come through from the rear, same as the view above. Join up the numbers with your shielded wire and you should have a working data cable. _ ____| |____ \ 1 2 / \ / \ 3 / \___/ Hope all goes well for you with this, it will help some technicians to access diagnosis methods they would not otherwise have the opportunity too. DIYers please be very careful with this information, you can do far more damage than a trip to a dealership would have cost you. Love and light to all.
